ICGEB in the news

This bimonthly edition of the ICGEB Newsletter reports on the exciting developments in the collaboration with New England Biolabs® (NEB)®  for rapid lab diagnostics in Africa, with a commentary by Nobel laureate and CSA Member Sir Rich Roberts. We also announce Calls for Training for Least Developed Countries, Fellowships for women scientists, research vacancies, and review article.

From the Director-General
This month Lawrence Banks writes from HQ Trieste, following the G20 Research and visits by the Ministers of Science of Brazil, South Africa, and the President of TUBITAK, Turkey. He remarks on the successfully trialled novel diagnostic for COVID-19 tailored to low-resource settings, and the Organisation's expanding core programmes.
