ICGEB in the news

In this bi-monthly edition of the ICGEB Newsletter we welcome new Group Leaders to Trieste: Giannino Del Sal and Silvano Piazza, and Cape Town: Georgia Schafer. Dhiraj Kumar reports from ICCEB New Delhi on COVID testing for the Government of India. We announce this year's outstanding CRP Awards, collaboration with IILA and, in addition to recent scientific publications, we hear from Alumni Ambassador, Massimo Caputi.

From the Director-General
Conferences for the global community, bringing together scientists and the general public have returned! In August ICGEB was at the televised Bio Africa 2020; in September we were live at the EuroScience Open Forum, with Minister F. Nicoletti, ICGEB Appointed Governor from Italy. ICGEB Science & the City events on hot topics in science, launched on the international arena via Cape Town, are being brought to the Young this month (in Italian), live from the "Teatro Miela", Trieste, and in streaming world-wide.

Massimo Caputi: Full Professor, Florida Atlantic University School of Medicine, recounts his career history from Trieste to his current lab and work on gene transcription, cancer, and developing diagnostic devices for the detection of multiple viral species
