From the Director-General
In this month's Newsletter, we celebrate the power of science and its
resilience within ICGEB during the current health crisis. Our
publication results for 2020 reflect the commitment of our scientists
and all staff in making science possible and effective under the most
difficult of circumstances. Above all, our thoughts are with our
friends and colleagues at ICGEB in India, with whom we stand shoulder to
shoulder in the fight against Covid19. Read more
Fellowships
ICGEB welcomes expressions of interest from researchers who would like
to jointly apply for the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships to work in the
laboratories in Trieste, Italy. Read more

the Life Sciences are freely available to the broader scientific

ICGEB joins the OECD agencies supporting the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Read more
UN Environment Programme and the ICGEB Regulatory Science Group are
surveying Parties about their use of the Biosafety Clearing-House. Read more

"Science & the CIty" Young returns to Trieste, Italy
from 24-27 May 2021 - open conversations with University students
and experts on the scientific impact of - for this series - robotics,

South Africa: ICGEB Host Country
This month, Dr. Phil Mjwara, South Africa’s Director-General of
Science and Innovation, writes on our South African host government’s
vision to provide Africa with access to biotechnology in partnership
with the ICGEB. Read more

mechanism that leads to the fusion of cells infected with Sars-Cov-2 and
