ICGEB is committed to using scientific research and diplomacy to bring peace, stability and friendship to all corners of the world and thereby fulfil the 2030 Agenda. We work to improve global health and nutrition, education, industrial biotechnology and renewable energy, and promote gender equality for a sustainable tomorrow.

WE-STAR CRP Grants
ICGEB and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation MAECI-DGCS, is providing additional resources to support research grants from African Candidates through the WE-STAR programme.

BIOTECHNET Call
ICGEB with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) is providing additional opportunities for funding for candidates from Ethiopia and Djibouti to enhance biotechnology know-how in the Horn of Africa.

COVID Diagnostics project: Phase 2
The COVID-19 Community access diagnostics labo networks project has kicked off; ICGEB's efforts to assist LMICs obtain effective, novel and cost-effective diagnostics, deliver practical applications of research in the field, and establish collaborative networks.
